When you have cable assemblies manufactured, you need to be able to rely on them to function properly. You expect the final product to be tailored to your specific application, for the quality to remain consistent across subsequent production runs, and for delivery to align with your schedule. This requires a cabling specialist who truly understands your requirements and handles your project with care. A partner who contributes ideas, keeps their promises, and proactively communicates any changes. At MCAP, this approach to collaboration has been the foundation for long-term client relationships since 1987. Some of our clients have been with us from the very beginning. How is such trust built?
Custom cabling begins with listening
A drawing and a bill of materials reveal a great deal about a cable assembly. Even so, we also want to know how you intend to use it. What kind of conditions will the cabling be subjected to? How will it be installed? And what can you rely on it to do during operation?
We pose these questions to clients across all the sectors in which we operate. In the AV & lighting sector, for instance, we manufacture and repair cabling for broadcast cameras, outside broadcast vans, and lighting equipment - environments where every second counts. For defense or scientific research applications, quality and long-lasting functionality are essential. In industrial and offshore settings, cabling must remain operational even under harsh conditions. And when it comes to equipment for medical or laboratory use, a reliable connection is absolutely critical.
The application therefore determines which choices are necessary. For this reason, clients increasingly involve us at an early stage in the development of their products. During this phase, we can jointly examine and refine a design before it goes into production.
It makes no difference whether you require fiber-optic cabling, copper cabling, or a combination of both. We are happy to provide input on the design and implementation of the cable assembly in any scenario. As a brand-independent cabling specialist, we can select materials, components, and finishes that align with your specific requirements, resulting in custom cable solutions that are perfectly suited to your application.
Meticulous cable assembly, from sample to production run
On our production floor, that attention is put into practice. Our assembly staff work using a work order, a technical drawing, a bill of materials, and a step-by-step plan. This ensures it is clear which components are required and how the assembly should be put together.
Before producing a batch, we first create a complete sample. This allows us to verify that the process is correct and that the result meets your requirements. The rest of the batch is produced only after approval.
During the assembly process, we also record all operations using barcode scanners, ensuring that every step is traceable. No cable assembly leaves MCAP without having been tested and approved. Upon request, we can even provide a test report. For you, this means that the quality is substantiated and the cabling is guaranteed to meet the agreed-upon requirements.
A family business with experienced professionals
While high-quality machinery handles some of the workload, many tasks still require a steady hand, concentration, and patience. Our experienced staff know the work inside out and genuinely enjoy tackling technical challenges. New team members are guided through each step of the assembly process and learn why every single action deserves careful attention.
As a family business, we value a pleasant working environment in which people help each other. Experience is passed on and we maintain professionalism through training. This commitment is reflected in the care with which your assignment is carried out.
Also call if things go differently
Trust goes hand in hand with clear communication. That’s why we keep lines of communication open and direct. We listen to your questions, discuss what’s required, and reach out if things don’t go as planned. Should a problem or complaint arise, we will contact you immediately so that we can discuss the situation and decide together on the best course of action.
Trust grows through the experiences you have with us, such as a fiber-optic cable that has been carefully assembled and inspected, a question that receives a clear answer, or an appointment that’s simply kept as promised.
Would you like to meet the professionals who craft your cabling? Feel free to get in touch with us. No strings attached. We’re happy to brainstorm with you and show you how we work. Or, as we often say: go ahead, challenge us!
